Apparently, Lenovo's latest ThinkPads will use Intel i5 (Sandy Bridge) CPUs.

Does anyone think this adds even more credibility to the rumors that the new MacBook Pro refresh will certainly contain Sandy Bridge as well?

The article says that Lenovo will release the new ThinkPads in late January. Perhaps we'll see a pre/post MacWorld refresh of the MacBook Pros? ;)

Lenovo has become very aggressive and will definitely lead when it comes to Sandy Bridge. Apple on the other hand is just too conservative. I don't expect them to implement this new chip any time soon.

It's just the next gen i5. It is probably dual core. The MBP will probably use SB on their laptops due to greater efficiency, but how the current i7 does compared to the dual core SB i7 will only be seen in time.

Hey, you guys think anyone is gonna put the 55watt, $1100 quad core i7 Extreme into a laptop while still keeping the 'lap' capability?
