Green bubble always full screen?

I like to focus on one thing at a time and therefore I'd like the green bubble to always act as a full screen mode. In Safari it generally opens to however big the website is and in iTunes it turns it into the tiny widget.

Is there a way to implement this functionality? Thanks!

That's one weird thing about Mac, it doesn't use the "maximize" button to maximize really. You just have to drag the corner to make it full screen.
