Ok, I am new here so if this has been posted before please redirect me.

I have a 13-inch Macbook Pro(2010). Just a few days back, a green line appeared at the left hand side of my monitor. It is not visible when the background is white. Is there anyway to fix this? Do i have to go to Apple?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Yup Go to Apple, thats a duff connection between the graphics card and the screen, which at the very least requires the bottom taking off and the foxconn connector being unlockled jiggled and then relocked.

At worst it'll be a free replacement.
