Hi everybody,

I search a lot and don't find any solution to my issue.

scenario:
MPB 13" Mid 2012
GPU: Intel Graphics 4000
Display: Samsung SyncMaster SA300 22"
Resolution for external display: best for display
DVI connection using mini display port adapter.

I already done the following troubleshoots:

  • Unplug display from energy source
  • Unplug DVI cable from monitor and mini display adapter
  • Unplug mini display adapter
  • Reset NVRAM
  • Reset SMC
  • Close lid
  • Caliber external display
  • Pull a bit mini display
  • Check for bad contact

thanks.

Tried connecting the machine to a different display or something else to your display?

My guesses are that at best it's a broken adapter, at worst the miniDisplayPort/Thunderbolt-port on your machine is broken and in the middle of those two we have the display being broken.

I don't have other monitor, but I already plugged my MBP on my tv with another adapter and works fine, so I guess the problem isn't the miniDisplayPort. I'll try change my adapter.

Thanks for helping

Hi I bought another dvi adapter (an apple this time) and the problem persists, but now I get one point, if I change the resolution for 720p decrease the noise and stops flicker.

but I wish use my monitor on full resolution.

hugs
