Hey guys, having a bit of trouble here;

I'm looking to Jailbreak my old 3G to give to a friend and I'm trying to use GreenP0ison. Now when using this with the same iOS version on my iPhone 4, it worked an absolute treat, 3 min job.

However, when trying to do it on my 3G (on the entering DFU mode stage) it just doesn't recognise the phone at all, even though iTunes states it's in DFU mode... I've tried reinstalling the phone twice and no cigar yet.

Anyone know something I don't which could shed some light on my situation?

Thanks.

P.S - I did search, but it came up with 3 threads, none of which contained anything about my issue.

How does iTunes recognize it's in DFU mode? As far as I am aware, maximum iTunes would do is recognize that the iPhone should be restored. Probably your iPhone isn't in DFU.

Ahhhhh right, I just re-read the README and saw iPod 3G, I think I read that as iPhone 3G the first time 'round.

How silly of me.

Thanks!
