Interesting problem that I'm sure I can't be the only person to have it.

I downloaded iTunes 7.7 a couple days ago. My first reboot of the Mac since then was earlier today, and now I can't get any further than the blue screen that appears before logging in. Once, the computer couldn't get past the grey Apple-logo screen.

I own a MacBook, and I know that MacBooks have had a history of grey/blue screen issues, but I don't think this time it's exclusive to the MacBook, as I've seen Apple Support discussion talking about this problem in the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro sections of the Support site.

I'm guessing that somehow some iTunes data is confusing OS X as it's booting.

Others out there experiencing the same thing? Any suggestions? Thanks.

*edit* From MacFixIt:
"iTunes installation erased files/drive For some users. it appears the iTunes 7.7 installation has resulted in data loss. This has caused their computers to no longer boot."

I fixed by reinstalling Leopard and reupdating all software. All is well again :)
