hello. Has anyone experienced a split second grey screen when waking the Apple watch series 2? I see it for a second right before the watch face shows up

Yes I have the same thing. Usually only noticeable in a mostly dark room though.

That's exactly when I noticed it. Any Idea what it is? LCD coming on? It bothers me. Now that I've seen it I can't understand it

I'm guessing it's just a minor software issue. I forgot about it until I came across this thread because it is so rare that I am in a 95% dark room (which is the only time I notice the grey flash).

Can't be that nor a backlight coming on since it is not an LCD. Probably some type of software or even firmware bug that can or maybe addressed in wOS 3.1. If would be interesting to see if any developers can replicate it in wOS 3.1 beta.

Glad it's probably software. At least it's something fixable
