I have a weird problem on my desktop. I have a huge gap between the vertical lines of files. I tried everything I could find but nothing would work...it seems to go there by default. Any idea what to do?

Can you post a screenshot just so people can see exactly what it looks like? Command-Shift-3 should put a screenshot on your desktop.

Click on your desktop (making sure no files or folders are folders are highlighted), then press Command+J. You should get this menu, where you can adjust the grid spacing:

Sorry if you have already tried that. That's all I can think of.
