I have been trying to decide for days on a case. Saw this and bought it!! I will update once I get the case in. Thanks for the good info!

Been searching non stop for a case that will cover the front and back of the ipad 3. That is in stock!:D

Some one mentioned the Griffin intellicase:
http://store.griffintechnology.com/ipad/ipad-3/intellicase-for-ipad

Looked like what I've been looking for.

Found the code launchparty
http://www.couponology.com/griffin-technology-coupons?gclid=COf0lZO68a4CFW-CtgodAA7iIQ

Site says it is good til 3/18/12 which is today.

Final price was $45.00 shipped.

Thanks op just bought one

Does anyone have the original version of this case? The only turn off for me is the interior...it appears to be all plastic so that's gonna end up scratching the back when dust gets in.

Also, how's teh magnet when closed?

My case came in today and I will be returning it. I bought a Dark Red Griffin Intellicase for my iPad (3) and it is crap, imo. The cover is a plastic case, the inside is plastic to, so it could cause screen damage(?) over time. The back is a plastic hard case.

At this point, I am going to just buy a smart cover and get full body protection from Zagg or SGP to protect the screen and back of the iPad

P.S. Dont get me wrong, I think it offers good protection, it was easy to pop into the case and hell trying to get it back out of the case, but it is plastic. The auto sleep/wake works great. I used it for about an hour, showed it to my staff and they said it looked unprofessional and cheap.

Received mine Saturday.

Xyphr, did you read the invoice, there is a re stocking fee.

I got the all black, a couple of things stood out. How long with the "hinges" last and how durable will they be over time?

And I'm not really liking the big cut out on the bottom for the speaker. My luck that will be the place I drop my pad on!:D

Pros- thin, case and cover all in one. fit was fine even though these are marked ipad2.

I'll keep mine and keep looking. I ended up with a few cases for my ipad 1 and switched out now and then.

I do need a heavy duty case though for work. Still deciding between the OB, gumdrop and griffins offering.

I'll get some pics of my case up soon.

I did see there was a restocking fee, but I would rather lose 9 bucks instead of losing 37 on something I would not use.
