Griffin Elan Sleeve. Does it fit new iPad w/ smart cover?

Does anyone know if this works for the new iPad with smart cover (leather)? I just bought the leather version and was looking for a sleeve for transportation. I think it's made for the iPad 1 so i'm thinking it may fit with the added bulk of both the new iPad and the additional smart cover.

I own one and that cavity is very, very tight. I can try it out tonight if you'd like me to, but I'm 99% certain it will not fit in there with a Smart Cover.

Yeah if you could I'd appreciate it. It's designed fro the original ipad which was thicker so I figured it would fit the new one with a smart cover.

If not no biggie...I'll just look for something else.

The Smart Cover is still 3x the thickness of the difference between the iPad 1 and the The New iPad.

Also, it's the hinge that's the biggest issue. It juts out, has sharp edges, will catch on the interior, detach, and potentially scratch the aluminum. It's not so much the thickness; it's the thickness and the width.
