Griffin iMic or m-audio Transit?

Hi guys, what is the best for use with a Sony ECMMS907 stereo microphone and a Macbook Air? Recording live acoustic instruments at highest quality possible.

Probably the Griffin. Thing is the mic is plug-in-power if I'm not mistaken, and is designed to work best with devices like Minidisc recorders. The iMic should do a better job with gaining up the signal, although the quality is not going to be the best out there.

For your stated aim, you could do better than the 907 but it depends on what your setup/ budget is.

thanks. i agree the mix is a POS but i need to use it next week with my MBA and i needed a quick fix for cheap. Will recording straight into quicktime work? Will the MBA see the new input in system prefs? there's no way to select "line-in"
