It was interesting to see this my local Wal-Mart store. I've read a post about it being sold there, but really didn't think I'd come across it anytime soon. My brother actually picked this up for himself, but I 'borrowed' it to share with you folks.
Initial impressions:
Outer surface has a soft silky feel. Griffin calls it "micro-textured finish". I had a case crown glider in this similar color on my 3GS which feels nearly the same. Also similar texture to the ifrogz luxe that I had a chance to play with at a BB store. Inner surface felt like it has a thin rubber layer which I don't see an issue it marking up the back of the iphone.
Install is simple. The front snaps in along the both sides as well as the top left corner. The other 3 corners do not have snap-in tabs as you think it should. Even though it may seem to be a secure fit, it does get me slightly worried the front popping off if ever dropped in a particular angle. I can't say that for sure, but I'll leave that for someone else to find out.
In all my pictures I do have the SGP Anti Fingerprint film installed and noticed immediately all four corner bubbling, see last picture. The film may also be causing the slight gap you see in the picture of the top of the iPhone. I will see how things go for the next couple days regarding the film, may have to temporarily remove it. As you can see all opens along the sides have a good amount of exposure. Probably only those with the big 3.5mm connectors will run into issue.
I did take several shots around the house in dim as well as lit areas to see if this case obstructs pictures with flash. As it was reported on a youtube video as having little interference, glad to say that this one does NOT.
OK, enough typing, on to the pictures.
