Hey there!

Looking forward to getting my Magic Keyboard delivered tomorrow (!) but as I’m starting to adjust to life sans case, I’ve found the aluminum backing of my 11” Pro to be more slippery than I’m comfortable with. Does anyone have recommendations for skins that increase the gripability of the iPad without interfering with the Magic Keyboard?

Thanks!

I have the DBrand Matrix skin, and honeycomb pattern makes for a great texture.

I've posted this pic before, I really like the look.

Personally i prefer clear skin as i like to keep the original Color.

The best skin i have ever used for additional grip on my previous devices has been skinomi. They use some type of self healing material that gives great grip when applied. It’s clear and comes in clear and matte finish. I haven’t used the matte as i was worried it may reduce the grip, and also haven’t tested the impact of the skin with the magnet to the case. Mine should be arriving in couple weeks so i will report back.

Also i couldnt find their matte finish on their website, however was able to find it on eBay so if you want matte, eBay may be the only way. And lastly, i noticed in their pics, the previous ipad pro skins came with side protection, but the new gen pics dosent show the side skins. I’ll check when i get the package to see if it is included.

I’ve been using a clear skin on the rear and sides of my 12.9” 2018 since I got it. The brand that I have is Best Skins Ever. It has holes for the connector. It adds grip and has protected my iPad against scratches. It also stops your iPad from feeling cold if you’ve ever felt that when you pick it up, before you have used it.
I’ve been very happy with it.

That’s my all time fav skin also, but they don’t have the skin yet for the 2020 ipad pros :( so in meantime i ordered the skinomo

Hi, any update on skinomi clear skin?

the skin set did come with the side protection also! However one of the sides was cut in 2 pieces instead of one. My guess their template may have been But off. However no impact, just a very slight gap. Overall very satisfied with the skin. Works perfectly with my Smart Keyboard folio! Highly recommend!

Do you find it adds more grip?
Zero bubble application?

grip has enhanced tremendously, for people who like using their iPads makes, this skin is perfect.

it’s a wet application, so no concerns with bubbles. They include a little spray bottle with liquid for applying the film. Super easy to apply.
