I was fortunate enough to be invited to testflight Groundwire 3.5, a business grade SIP client, that is about to release with Call Kit support. Being a long time user of Bria, and having learned that their Call Kit implementation may drag out ( https://support.counterpath.com/topic/bria-in-ios-10-voip-api ) I have been looking for alternatives.

Groundwire has tons of configuration options that I haven't really been able to dig into yet but after typing in my SIP credentials everything worked right away. At the time of typing this my SIP provider is unfortunately closed, and our companys SIP solution is set to forward calls to different cellphone numbers, so I can't test how well incoming calls work, but making calls is easier than ever with Call Kit.

Just press and hold what normally is the FaceTime icon, and you will get a list of options of how to set up the call. If the contact has FaceTime, that will obviously also be listed. This means that if you missed a call on your cell number, you will no longer have to copy and paste the number into your sip client should you choose to call back using your SIP provider (business number). So just for outgoing calls, Call Kit provides big benefits, but the rewards are possibly even bigger for incoming ones. That I will try tomorrow after Ive had a chat with our SIP provider!

Anyways, If you use SIP, it looks like great days ahead!
