Group iMessage on iOS8

Now that I have upgraded to iOS8, whenever I try to send a group iMessage, it always sends it as a text message. I am able to send iMessages to anyone else, so long as it is not in a group message. Is there some setting that was turned on or another way to fix this?

yes, when other participants reply, it will say "iMessage" over their message, but "text message" over mine

I am having this issue as well. Came here to see if anyone had found a fix yet. One thing I found in this article says you can delete the group message and re-create it to fix the problem. This is not an option for me because the thread contains hundreds of pictures that I don't want to get rid of.
