For work, I need to send group texts. This was easy on my two old phones but has become a four month failure on my somewhat new iPhone.

The two free group text apps I downloaded didn't work. Those without an iPhone didn't receive anything. iPhone users, including mine, froze your text app when you tried to open it.

I read on-line to use iCloud to update contact and group lists. I paid for the "Groups" app to send group texts (very good reviews). I have the same problem.

I did a test text to 4 people which worked. I was excited and sent a text to my group of 115 contacts and it failed.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe it's a little late, but to send a group text on the iPhone you must turn off the iMessage, MMS and Group Messaging switches into the settings app in the 'Messages' section.
