Growl Notifications for iCal and News Updates

Is there a way to have iCal alarms go through Growl? Also, is there a way to set up a RSS feed in Growl to be able to have News pushed through? Thanks for the help!

A couple ideas... Growl supports Applescript. You could have the iCal alarm call an Applescript that runs a Growl notification.

For the RSS, how about using a RSS reader to call a Growl notification? I know Netnewswire supports Growl and it looks like Vienna (free) does also.

Is it possible to find the exact AppleScript for iCal events? I am not so good in AppleScript.

Also, for RSS readers, I have noticed that they will only notify you of a new article being downloaded. Is there anyway to be able to have the headline and a little of the content? Thanks.
