Just started playing the game, and I'm noticing lag while playing the game. Like, it will freeze for like a sec every now and then. Is anyone having this issue???

Yeah i got the same problem, running on an iMac, 3.1ghz, 4gb ram.
I tried it on all the different graphics and still did the same thing

Ok, good to know I'm not the only one. Thought it was a problem on my end. Hope they will fix this with an update.

Same problem here.

Running a 2011 iMac quad core 3.4GHz Core i7 with 16GB ram and an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB.

Clearly a problem with the game itself, everyone seems to be having it.

From what I have read in relation to GTA on the PC and Mac side, the game itself just doesn't run well on computers; when running on Windows, people stated they had to have some high end machine to get smooth framerates out of it.

Here's to hoping they fix it for you guys.

Same here

Hi there guys,
Im having the same problem i reported it to rockstar and they said: "please check the Mac Apps store to see if you have the latest update" ??????? i've done that surely they should know there isn't one yet?

so frustrating i hope to get a refund and install on my bootcamp vista should be fine according to systemreqlab :)

great, I really wanted to buy it. Whats worse is I have a base '11 mini with the intel hd graphics. I'm sure there good enough but it can't make it any better for me.

Vice city runs fine on my mini but the graphics suck, definitely worse than the original ps2 graphics.

I am also having the same issue. The best way to get them to take some action (In my opinion) would be to post bad reviews until they fix the issue.

Absolutely; it's obvious that they (and Apple) got lazy and GM'd a terribly optimized port. There's no reason why a game that ran on PS2 hardware is running so badly now (although there are a lot of things to take into account when porting something).

They could have done better; no reason why the other ones work perfectly fine (right?) and this one has problems. Shouldn't have released the game if they knew it was going to be this buggy.

Lag free version of GTA San Andreas

For a completely lag free version for the exact same price go to Macgamestore.com and look under digital downloads. you can also get the GTA trilogy pack for $20. bought the game for my Mid 2010 13" Macbook Pro 2.4ghz with core 2 duo processor and have not experienced any lag or any problems. hopes this solves everyone's lag issue so they can enjoy the game.

Has anyone ever found a solution or fix for this problem? I'm experiencing the exact same thing. Frustrated! Downloaded the game for hours just now to find out it lags on my mid-2011 27" iMac...argghhh! Help!

Lag? On a MacBook Pro with an i7 processor?

I run this game easily at almost 50-60 FPS on a MacBook Pro that has only an i5 processor.
