GTX 285 Works in 10.6

Works great. I have a GTX 285 in my Mac Pro and it works fine. I did notice that Xbench reports that OpenGL is a little slower, but it didn't seem like a big deal to me.

I have the GTX 285. Once I installed the upgrade I got a kernel panic. The first thing I tried was removing the graphics card and replacing it with the stock card and once I did all was fine.

You have it working running Snow Leopard?

Re: jade44V

Yes, it works, see the other post you made about "Geforce 256" for my answer to your problem. Hopefully it fixes it for you.

So Snow Leopard does not include the drivers to run the GTX 285 on the disc? I have to swap the card out again!??!?!

I have not tried a "clean" install but I did have Leopard installed with the latest GTX 285 driver already installed. It worked fine after Snow Leopard finished installing. I never had to remove my EVGA GTX 285 from my Mac Pro.

Hey, how have you found upgrading, I'm wondering if that's
the same as, or if you get better performance / less bugs
by doing a clean install.

I also heard there are no options to erase and install anymore
you have to do it yourself ???

So, should i download the drivers from nvidia or evga and install them or stick with the onces that came with snow leopard?
