Was wondering if this card still a good card to use, my home machine I mainly run Windows 7 anyhow and OSX is used for testing (Work gave me this machine) So was wondering how good is this card. The only thing that stinks is that I have the Cinema display and in order to use it I have to shell out for the adapter. Just wondering if I am better off just selling the cinema display and picking up a Dell 2709w monitor as well.

GTX 285 still a good card??

I don't know about the monitor, but I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with a GTX 285 1GB for Mac right now 
I'd say it's a very good card, I managed to get an avg of 17 FPS (low of 13, and high of 21 I think) using the Crysis Benchmarking Tool (the first Crysis) on max settings.
I'd say that's quite good, check the screenshot for details.

If you need to run both OS's, the 285 would work. So would the HD4870. Either way, you still run into the adapter issue though, and have to decide if you like the monitor well enough to deal with it (glossy screen,...), or get a different monitor.
The adapter would be easier, and likely less expensive, but you have to figure that one out for yourself.

Went ahead and orderd the card, so I will have a 4870 for sale, also my work is letting me pick up a Dell 2709w monitor so my cinema display will be for sale too.
