Is anyone using the Dell U2515h display with a GTX680 2GB card?

Do you play games with this set up? If so how does it cope?

I played some Battlefield and Tomb Raider (2013). Both played well on the monitor. The input lag and response time of this monitor are good for an IPS panel. (but of course not as good as TN). For casual gaming, this is a fine monitor.

In terms of performance the 650m can't handle the latest games at 1440p so I lowered the Anti-Aliasing and I lowered the resolution to 1080p and graphics mostly medium (and some low) settings. 1080p on 1440p looks worse than 1080p on a 1080p screen but it's still decent looking and didn't spoil the fun. It's in my opinion definitely not as bad as people make it seem.

Your GTX680 can probably run games between 40-60 FPS at 1440p, and when lowering graphics and anti-aliasing even higher.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I'm very tempted to get the dell u2515h, good to hear 1080p on this native 1440p display is still decent. Appreciate your comment.

Glad i could help.

TFT Central has a great review you might want to check out about the monitor (if you haven't already).

Yeah thanks, I caught that when TFT Central posted it as I was eager to buy it as soon as it got the thumbs up by them. But held off for real world performance reports.
I do plenty of photo editing and my thinking is the U2515H would be a good double purpose photo editing and gaming display. I get access to a pro color display when needed so this was home use only. Just waiting to see how the Acer G257HU 1440p IPS panel (with its 4ms) review compares with it.
