This program is quick and easy to use. (i hope im not reposting, this is my first post on here)

I guarantee that this will work. I have jailbroken more than 10 touches with this and i recommened it. I would bet anything that this will work for everyone. It's quick and easy to use and all u have to do is just click next. IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU FIRST OPEN THE PROGRAM IT WILL PROBABLY SAY THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE libusb DOWNLOADED. JUST HIT THE BUTTON TO DOWNLOAD IT. Everything is all right there no need to worry about anything. The program will lead u through everything.

Have fun jailbreaking your iPod Touch 2g

100% safe

Just jailbroke my iPod Touch with this software - immensely easy even for a semi-newb like myself.

The video is not my video but all credit to the uploader who does a great job of explaining simply.

Yay lol. my first thread wasn't a stupid. Im glad i could have helped even a bit :D

<-- Yea I'm a newbie

Well I thought I would provide a little insight to this software.

The software itself doesn't seem to be unsafe, but the usblib is sketchy.
I tried using this software and downloading usblib and installing it, the way it explains how - and it really bugged out my computer. It pretty much shut off all my drivers for all my hardware, and if there wasn't a default driver that vista provided than I was screwed.

All it took to solve the issue was to pop in the Vista Install Disc and do a quick system restore to revert the drivers.

It was to the point where my keyboard and mouse were unresponsive, because all my USB ports were unresponsive.

Please note: I am using Vista x64

This is just a 'forwarning' for people using the same OS.

I decided I'm going to wait until QuickPwn has support for the 2G. Should be soon.

Did you use USBLib im compatability mode for XP SP2?
If not you are warned that it will bug up your Vista install.

Yeah, I'm clicking on a link from a newbie.

THAT'S happening.

Upon further investigation, it's an .exe file, so Windows users, be safe.

Relax, it's an untethered 2G jailbreak that's been out for a couple weeks now. The link's stickied over at iPod touch Fans and has been mentioned here quite a bit lately.

went through all steps w/o any trouble at all, currently restoring from my backup ^^

felt that it should be successful. it's pretty easy for a full newb like me who's a total IT idiot =D

THANKS!

tysiphonehelp on YouTube (find him) has a tutorial for both Macs and PCs on how to jailbreak your iPod touch 2nd generation, without having to tether to reboot. ;) Tested on my Mac here, and it's working great.

uncertiaion
