Hi, all!

I just picked up two Seagate SATA 3.0 1 TB drives from Bestbuy for $189.99 :D. They went on sale today:).

And looking for an enclosure to set them up with, preferably hardware RAID 1 (mirroring). I think I've narrowed it down to one of two enclosures:

Guardian MAXimus (hardware RAID 1) or OWC Mercury Elite-AL (hardware RAID 0 or software RAID 1).

Any input would be appreciated. I suspect hardware RAID runs faster and with less hindrance of normal computing as it does not require processor/memory use for mirroring portion of RAID processing.

Have you used either of these? Would you recommend one over the other? Or do you have another recommendation?

Thanks in advance!
