Can you do guided runs without your phone on the GPS model?
Or do I need the cellular model to get the guided runs without my phone around?

I'm looking to upgrade from Series 0 to Series 3 and trying to decide between GPS and Cellular.

Thanks!

Can’t say for sure since I always bring my phone. I will say this though.. Nike Run on Series 2 (GPS) is awful. Everything is so slow (starts from opening the app). If you could get cellular version (series 3) you’ll get a much better all around experience at least.

I’m almost politico you can do it them without the phone. You have to download them to your watch in advance in either case, so I don’t believe the phone is needed at all.

Yes, you can leave the phone at home with GPS only watch and follow the guided plan. But as noted above you must download it first to the watch.
