hold your guitar as if you were tapping
so that your left pinky is next to your right pointer

L/R1 - left/Right pointer
L/R2 - middle finger
L/R3 - ring finger
L/R4 - pinky

so on the same string
L1 held down the whole time
then
R1
L2
R2
L3
R3
L4

and just keep going
R1
L2
R2
L3
R3
L4

i dunno moving up and down the string w/e you want.

ya if someone can play this i would love to hear it.

ya i know this is going to sound fing retarded but while i was watching tv i was playing around with my rock band guitar and was doing that sequence pretty fast, and on the beat.

o btw i know nothing about guitar, i play drums, so if this is a common tapping w/e.

i wish i played guitar,(so at least i wouldn't sound like a dumb a## asking this) although i do really like drums.

Sorry dude, had to do it. :D

I'll give it a try on my guitar tomorrow, if I could figure out WTH you mean with the code you made up.

That code for each note is a bit confusing. Any way you could put in a tab?

I'll give it a whirl if I can understand it a bit more fluently...

ok i made a video
i mess up twice
but i think you can understand this now.

ok so you can not post videos on here so here is my photo bucket
it is the first one

Hmm normally you would only tap with one finger, moving across the frets, instead of using a different finger for each fret (unless you're this guy). I'm a bit confused because the first thing you do (the slow part) is different from the part where you play faster. I'll give it a try when I get home, but it probably sounds better on your guitar... er, plastic thingy :D
