Guitar Hero/GHII on 60 GB PS3?

I've finally given up on hoping that a patch will come out that will let me use my Rock Band guitar with GH/GHII. Despite a few Google searches, I've been unable to determine if there is a solution for letting me play GH/GHII on my PS3. Does anyone know a good adaptor/guitar that will let me play both?

They seem great except that they can't play GHII on a PS3!? I can't understand why they'd be compatable with GH on a PS3 but not GHII.
