Guitar Hero III Issues

I just bought Guitar Hero III, and installed the game on my Macbook Pro. I meet all the system requirements to run the game.

When I install it though, the icon appears in the right hand bottom corner, just like on any program, but disappears suddenly. So basically the game doesn't run. Anyone know how to possibly get around this issue?

My Macbook Pro is running on
- OS X 10.4.11 (2.2 Ghz)
- 4 GB Ram
- GeForce 8600M GT
