Guitar-Hero-Live-Bundle-250x250.png
Activision today released Guitar Hero Live for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in the U.S., following a five-year hiatus in the iconic video game franchise. The app is accompanied by an optional $99.99 bundle including a Bluetooth LE six-button guitar controller, guitar strap, redeem code and 2 AA batteries, available through major U.S. retailers. A two-guitar bundle is also offered for $149.99.
Guitar Hero Live puts you on stage rocking reactive live-action crowds. Guitar Hero Live is all about the dream of becoming a rock star. You will play with REAL band members, playing to REAL crowds, with REAL reactions to your performance. Play well and the crowd will love you! Play poorly and your fans will turn on you!
Guitar Hero Live for iOS has single-player and multiplayer modes and includes two free trial songs, while the guitar controller bundle unlocks over 40 additional tracks, access to GHTV channels featuring over 200 songs at launch and touch-based gameplay. A digital bundle is also available for $49.99 that unlocks the same features without a Bluetooth guitar for touch-based gameplay.

Nvm. Answered my own question, but can't delete this post? I miss the old forum.
Uh, external controllers were never prohibited. It was just made the rule that the controller that comes with the thing (new siri remote) had to be useable for the games as well.

Marty McFly would be so excited to visit actual 2015, where he can finance a virtual guitar through his phone company. The future is now! Rejoice!

I think there's a 2 device limit on the Apple TV as well, which kills any chance of a Rockband-like experience.

Kinda feels like a sellout type deal. For some reason I have a feeling it will have terrible support vs the console versions. I like what Harmonix is doing and making a music rhythm game specifically designed for the new AppleTV.

I guess we'll see, though I'm personally planning in investing in RockBand 4 for my Xbox One. This could be great, but knowing Guitar Heros history...we'll see.

How about support for the new AppleTV?

I guess it will be coming soon... (?)

Anyway, at $100.00 don't expect to sell many.

It literally says at the bottom of the article "A version for the new Apple TV will also be released to play on the big screen. The game launches in Europe on October 23."

Give me Rocksmith for iOS please! So much more potential with a real guitar, you can actually learn a skill for life while playing pretty much the same game rather than just smashing coloured plastic buttons

I just cannot imagine myself playing on a fake guitar on a train while looking at a tiny iPhone screen.

Just leave the guitar at home or school or work and play by tapping the notes on the screen when you're on the go.

GameSpots review is out on this game and it doesn't look pretty.

Holy Cr@p it's 2GB! Seems a bit bloated for anyone who doesn't have a 128GB iOS device.

Pass, they hardly updated their last release. So what is the point of purchasing this one? Classic example of a money grab. Then they go away for 5 to 8 years and return claiming to have put something new in the game.
