Just noticed this case on amazon. Its called the Gumdrop Drop Tech V2 Carrying Cases for iPhone 6 Plus. did anyone had any experience with this case? seems like an interesting alternative to the Otterbox defender.

I had one of those and one for my iPad air 2 preordered but just cancelled it until they come out. I had one for my iPad 3 and it was a pretty cool case. If its the same design you snap the plastic screen protector part to the front of your phone and then the rubberized back you snap onto the plastic screen protector. So the back of your phone is in like a rubberized I guess TPU... Pretty cool case imo.

Oh and I went with the Amzer Crusta instead because I wanted to try something different and its out right now.
 
Well, the color options combined with the belt clip make it look horrible. Without the belt clip and in a color like white, it's okay but nothing to write home about at $50 IMHO.

I actually think that in different color variation this isn't a bad case but I do agree that $50 is a bit high
