so basically i have an issue:(:( i listen to music in the shower right like not like i bring my phone into the shower or anything but i left it on the floor mnext to the shower and i get it out and i see that its sitting in a puddle of water. obvi i immediately dry it up with a towel and its an iphone 16 so nothing should rly happen but now the vibrate is SO loud everytime i get a notification like it moves across a table loud. i tried a speaker cleaner but like obvi it didnt do anything bc the vibrate comes from the mechanics inside so i need some help plsss

Take it to Apple to be checked out but remember, water damage isn't covered under warranty. I would just continue using it and see what happens. As long as the water resistance is intact, the phone should continue working. If water did get inside, you'll know soon enough.

Also OP:
Did you happen to use any waterproof bags or cases for your iPhone?
How long was the iPhone in the water?
Have you tried flushing out the water by playing a really loud, high-frequency sound? There are videos on YouTube that show you doing this, and you can play it full blast from your iPhone speakers, then dry it out with a cleaning cloth.

In most cases, I still suggest getting that iPhone 16 checked out by an Apple Genius. Water damage from going beyond its water resistance limits can cause potential problems for iPhones later on, and it can spread to other components and damage it the longer the water stays in there.
