heres the problem. I won't have a computer in my house for the next 6 months.

i would love to be able to download tv shows directly in my iphone or ipad (those like house in MKV format 720p) and play them directly in those devices.

any viable solution that really can play those files?

With download manager i can download those files from rapidshare, no problem, but how to get them open in a player?

no jailbreak

there is an app called BUZZ Player it isn't free but costs like 4 bucks.

It plays all kinds of video formats that you can transfer from your pc but also includes an integrated web browser inside of the app.

You can use this web browser to navigate to sites with direct download links (icefilms and others) and choose to either stream the files or directly download to the device (inside buzz player not the native video app but that wont play avi or mkv anyways).
