hopefully it will be released as part of iphone apps package (fingers crossed)

to get the wobble you have to pay for the iPhone apps. The wobble and webclips are included in the update you pay for...

For clarification: Webclips allow you to take a page and put a link on the home screen. Sites like www.seeqpod.com have made a custom icon for the webclip. they look pretty useful!

1) Im assuming you have a jailbroken ipod touch, so download BSD Subsystem and then OpenSSH.
2) Login to your ipod with Windscp or the mac one with your ip address as host name, root as username, and alpine as password.
3) Go into /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app and rename N45AP.plist to some like N45AP.old.
4) Then change M68AP.plist into N45AP.plist and reboot iPod Touch.

This is also fun to do without 1.1.3. My iPod had a bit of an identity crisis, but it worked out fine once I changed it back.

One thing, though, it was constantly searching for a carrier. Did it do this for you?

yes that's a little annoying.

Haha this is awesome, I always wondered what iPhone apps did, like dial and all that.

After I JB the touch, I haven't been able to uninstall OpenSSH (Main Script execution failed!).

Therefore, I can't WinSCP into my touch.

Any ideas?

So if I do that on 1.1.1, will it think its a iPhone and show up with the Phone and SMS apps? That would be cool

EDIT: I done this just to mess about and no apps would run! Luckily I could still use SSH and put the original file back... Plus, although I did get the "Searching..." writing and stuff, I didnt get the Phone or SMS apps.

you have to manually delete the OPenSSH section in installer plist.
Follow up the thread I posted earlier.

Go to installer and load the following source on a jaibroken Touch 1.1.3:

http://www.modiphone.net/repo

Refresh the sources. Then install: 1.1.3 Touch Apps.

You now have the 1.1.3 apps on your Touch.

OR

1.1.3 jailbroken ipod touch. These are the steps.
1) Im assuming you have a jailbroken ipod touch, so download BSD Subsystem and then OpenSSH.
2) Login to your ipod with Windscp or the mac one with your ip address as host name, root as username, and alpine as password.

If Mail does not work:

ssh into your ipod. navigate to the applications folder
navigate to the mobilemail.app folder
in that folder edit the info.plist
you need to replace com.modiphone.maps with:
com.apple.mobilemail

respring and it works

apps

hey so I used the above ssh system. And all it gives me is the phone and text applications. No mail or maps. Any ideas on what the problem is?

I then tried to use the other system by downloading the app in installer that didn't work either. It brought up the icons. But when activated they caused a crash.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
