Hacked iPhone 3Gs - HELP!

Ok, I need some serious help.

about 2 months ago I got an iPhone 3gs and I had it hacked and jailbroken with black rain. The phone has been awesome until a buddy of mine when into the general settings and hit the reset buttom. Since then, I had to take my phone home, connect it and run black rain. Only problem is nothing works. iTunes opens up and says I need to recover my phone, so i go through the steps to recover 3.1.3 and it fails everytime. I get errors with everything and can't get past the apple logo with the usb cable on the screen.

1st don't bump your threads it's not allowed. now that we are passed that. sounds like you have a tethered jailbreak. this is why you have to reconnect it to the computer after reboots or if you turn it off. did you save shsh what bootrom version etc. you might be able to use PwnageTool 4.01

Sounds like your friend went in the settings and did erase all content and settings.
In that case you will have to restore it thru itunes.
Put it in DFU mode and do a restore.
Thats all you can do.
Next time dont let your "friends" play with it.
