Hey guys, just want to get a consensus on this issue. If one were to hack their ipod touch using the current method, before the next Apple iPod touch update, can the iPod be simply restored to it's original unhacked state? Should there be a reason to worry about potentially bricking or not being able to update to the new firmware?

I want to hack mine, but not if it means I'm stuck with this version of my iPod forever, not being able to apply the updates etc. If it can be easily restored before the update and the only issue is simply having to reload the iPod with content, then I'm fine with it

Everything is wiped out with a simple restore. I believe it's a bit more complicated with the iPhone because the baseband firmware must be changed for the SIM unlock.
