So last night I dropped my iphone 3g at the beach, and I've been working all morning to clean out the sand from the headphone jack and charging port. I have managed to clear most of the sand out of the holes, but the charging port isnt working. this is obviously a big issue, as my power is being drained and I have no way to charge the device.

Any advice or ideas are appreciated. thanks

think a visit to the genius bar could help? I know they usually just tell people to buy a new phone in these situations, which really isnt an option for me. or maybe there is a reliable store/website that replaces the charger ports?
