Had AW 9 for a week now but barely better battery time than my previous 7 with 80% battery health.

I am kind of surprised, I was expecting way more than 24 hours but so far 10% left after 24 hours and not very strenuous use. 30 minutes of jogging with music via bluetooth to EarPods. But rest of the day little use and with same notification that the 7 had.

What battery time is everyone getting on the new AW9?

Some other users in other threads are reporting *longer* battery times with the 9. Some even reported that in comparison to the 7.

I charge my series 9 nightly so I don't know how long it would last without a recharge. But I can say that after a typical day (off the charger at 6:00 am and back on at midnight) that I typically end the day with 50% battery remaining despite a couple of workouts (~90 minutes total). That's MUCH better than my series 5 did, even when new. In thinking about how my usage is different from the OP: though my new watch is a cellular capable SS model, I don't have a cell plan for it, so I stream music (mostly Spotify) from my phone, not my watch.

Give it a little time, too. You may not be realizing how much you're playing with the new settings and features of your new watch, plus watchOS 10 still has a bunch of bugs which may impact battery life.

That said, since Apple didn't really promise any increase in battery life, it's not surprising that the battery life is similar.

I figured out the culprit. Once I turned off Teams notification I now have 60% left after 23 hours and that includes a brisk walk for 40 minutes. Love that I can get 2 days out of it (I hope at least).
