Had experience shipping a 27" iMac?

Afternoon, I'm probably gonna have to ship one in its original Apple packaging. I guess people do this all the time. Worries me a little the way parcels sometimes get slammed around.

Have you had experience sending one? Any suggestions on which carrier is the best for shipping to the 50 states?

I shipped one from Fort Worth to Atlanta but I had a box built to place around the Apple original packing. I shipped it via UPS insured. Wasn't cheap though. Cost $65.00.
