Had iPhone 5 for ~1 year. What are 5S upgrade options?

I heard somewhere there might be an option for people that are halfway through their 2 year contract can upgrade early by trading in their iPhone 5 + some extra cash. Is this true?

Also, will the Black iPhone 5S have an improved scuffgate? I saw in a video the champagne scuffgate has been improved. Hopefully the black one gets improved too?

Assuming you have AT&T, you'll have to pay an early upgrade fee of $250 if you want the new iPhone.

It depends on your carrier and your exact contract with them. Any answers given here without your carrier being known or the carrier of the person replying being known are not really useful.
