hey
I have a new penryn mbp and got it with 250gig or hd 5,400 rpm version
but for video editing, is it better to have 7200rpm?? (not sure if that's the right rpm number but u know what i mean..)
I own panasonic DVX100 so its gonna be mainly SD editing but hoping to do little bit of HD editing as well..

as lot of difference between the two harddrives??

Faster speeds = better seek time = better data throughput. That said, as long as the media you're capturing and editing is on a separate 7200rpm drive, your boot drive can be 5400rpm without many issues.
