I recently decided to upgrade to parallels 4.0 from 3.0

4.0 Upgrade froze, and "manual install" yielded a "hal.dll corrupted" windows screen.

When trying to boot into boot camp, I get the same message if I do not use the down arrow trick.

Uninstalled 4.0 and 3.0 is working fine, except hal.dll problem persists in boot camp start up.

I used the "Clear Button" in 3.0, no luck with 4.0

I do not have XP disk, as it was a installed copy from my work place.

can I repair hal.dll, or boot.ini and get 4.0 working?
