About a week ago my MacBook fell on its side (open) from about the height of a ruler, since, half of the screen has been white with a blue line diagonally across( picture attached). I've restarted my MacBook and given it time to cool down, any help or advice would be much appreciated, and if it is a hardware problem, around how much would it probably be to have it fixed?

edit: since starting it up, I've also noticed the fan is much louder than it was previously?

Thanks

oh noes, the Feelings :(
hopefully a screen replacement will be enough
keep it turned off to not damage even more

this clearly isn't a Software issue ;)

:( I knew it in the back of my mind but damn if it isn't expensive

It may just need a screen replacement.

For the fan issue, try a pram and/or smc reset. If doesn't fix the fan issue, it could also be that the sensors around the trackpad are also damaged.

If possible, connect it to an external monitor to test the keyboard, trackpad, usb ports, sound, and magsafe board.
