Half speed when routing through airport

If I direct connect my iMac I am getting my advertised 30 down 10 up. The moment route it through the airport extreme, wired connection, the speed is cut by a third (roughly 10 down, 3 up).

What can I do to fix this!

Straight from the modem 30MBPS download, through airport extreme <15MBPS...

You used to get responses to questions in a few hours. Last few posts gotten nothing. Has everyone moved somewhere else or did people just get sick of helping people?
