TWO young tech tycoons behind top-selling game app Fruit Ninja have carved up the opposition to head Queensland's Entertainment Rich List, beating international names such as Miranda Kerr and Keith Urban.
Shainiel Deo and Daniel Vogt founded Brisbane-based developer Halfbrick Studios. Its string of successful games for mobile devices led by Fruit Ninja, which has been downloaded by 500 million players, has earned the pair a combined $284 million fortune.
Deo, 39, who owns two-thirds of the shares, still runs the business while Vogt is working on other projects. The 31-year-old is legally blind and represented Australia in Goalball, a sport for the visually impaired in which all players are blindfolded.
