HalfLife2 on Vista

I have my MacBook running Vista. I recently installed Half Life 2. Everything runs smoothly, but many of the ground and wall objects are transparent (I can look down to infinity, can see things that are around the corner). Any suggestions as to how I can loose this x-ray vision?
