Anyone seen it yet? Went to a late show this weekend and I was too tired to really "take in" the film. It seemed a little over the top as Rob Zombie was making up for the missing gore in part 1. I do want to see it again and the more I think about it the more I like it.... Thoughts?

I havent seen it, however my girlfriend wants to.
Idk, I havent even seen the 1st Halloween from Rob, is it worth seeing?

Yes, the first one was excellent. Well worth the watch if you like horror flicks.

Im not a huge fan. I found the Saw movie cool for the psycology, but I dont like the blood and stuff. Way too over the top. So, if thats any indication...do you still agree its worth a watch for me? I like violence, but dayum Saw is over the top.

The Devil's Rejects is by far Zombie's best film. I liked the first half hour of Halloween, then it just became a shot-by-shot of the original. I imagine this one will be pretty much the same. I'd really like to see Zombie do more original work. He's obviously talented.

Oh! That was a geat movie! Is Halloween violent in that way? Because I liked the level of gore and violence in TDR.

It is indeed. But I think Zombie did hold back a bit, out of respect for the original. Like I said, the first part of the film is great, because it's Zombie's take on Michael Myers' childhood. That part is creepy as hell. Then it just becomes the original with an updated look.

That said, now I wanna go see it. I think I'll go after work.

I really liked Devils rejects up until that chic got hit by the truck... I think most of his films seem to fall flat half way thru. But I do like his style and try to like his films.

From what I understand, this movie doesn't follow any of the original sequel.
