Originally released for May 9th, Halo 2 is being but off a couple of weeks. Why so? Maybe because Windows Vista wasn't built for gaming and this explains why most PC gamers are sticking with XP.

I think soon after it's release, there will be a crack for Halo 2 to work on XP.

Heard about this. Really want to play Halo 2, but vista is just having problems (?). The PC gamers I know are going back to XP. Also, for Halo 2, I heard that one might need a video direct x for Halo 2? Anyone heard about this???

Halo 2 for mac soon?

Hopefully?

Bah.

Halo 2 is WAY overrated, and when it's released, the original Halo servers will be empty.:(

Don't worry. Odds that Halo 2 will come out for the Mac are pretty slim.
Plus, I'll come play the "original" Halo with anybody, anytime.

Oh cool an HOA member. Nice to see you. Love your servers.

If you're talking about Halo 2 needing a DirectX 10 capable graphics card, this is inncorrect. You can you a Directx 9 card. It is in the requirements:

Required:
Windows(R): Vista - 512 MB RAM
Processor: Pentium 4 2.0 GHZ or equivalent
Hard Drive: 3.0 GB (+4.0 for developer software)
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c, 128 MB/T&L capable
Online/Multiplayer: 56.6 kbps modem or LAN; broadband to run a server
Other: 8x DVD, Sound Card, & speakers/headphones

I'm sure I'm going to cause some grief when I say this, but remember when people were claiming that "shooters belong on the PC" etc... well, it seems like Halo belongs on the consoles.

I am still upset by Halo 2 being Vista-exclusive; when I first heard this, it really drove home the point that Bungie is truly and completely a Microsoft Studio. Shame on you, Microsoft.

Halo is way overrated anyways...

Go play Marathon, the last killer app Bungie ever made.
