Halo 2 PC To Xbox System Link Mod Question

Just curious, I have halo 2 for PC and my friend has an original Xbox, is there a way to system link PC to Xbox to play against each other, I know that its not possible to this originally but is there some type of mod that can be used to do this. Has anybody heard of one?

*Note* please don't tell me to go and do a google search, because I have already done this.
 
It's probably not possible at all. They're 2 completely different systems with different netcode.
