halo 3 multiplayer w/ HDTV

My brother was fooling around with his xbox and never realized he didn't have it on HDTV mode because the image was stretched. Well now that he has it on HDTV it looks much better but when we both play online it doesn't fit the screen but when he just plays by himself it fits the screen just fine. Is there a setting that i'm missing or something?

Unfortunately you can only play it with boarders with multiplayer (one screen). It sucks big time.

that's dumb and really annoying!! They need to fix this. Its been out for how long? What the sense of having it hooked up to large plasma if its useless?

Yup, Resistance 2 and Halo 3 do it. WHY!? Widescreen is teh future! It confuses me just as much as fullscreen versions of DVDs.

If you set your xbox to fullscreen your TV might stretch it. But then it looks bad. low res, stretch, ewwww.
