The UB update is actually the whole game, but I think they wanted your original key to purchase it.
The UB update is a full cd image download, but you need an original key to get it. You'd think there would be an option to purchase the full download since the image is already there.
I was able to find 1 PriceGrabber storefront that claims to have it in stock, but it's a company I've never heard of before, and the company has gotten some very negative reviews:

The pricegrabber one I can't really risk... people have said about delivery problems and I'm in the UK. GoGamers out of stock =/. I run PowerPC mac might get Intel soon =D So BootCamp isn't a option at the moment. The UB update costs $5.. I suppose its ok but where am I suppose to get a key from? Also eBay I'm not so sure about.. theres 2 on eBay from the US the delivery for the UK is $14.99 and the games are already upto $18/$24.

it was probably about 2-3 weeks ago i was browsing the apple store, and saw halo for $40. I couldn't believe they were still selling it for that much. Now they still have the demo page, but the buy page is gone. crazy. just wait for gears of war. unless you have an old computer.

Just wait a few weeks...there's probably been a run on the game with Halo 3 coming out (people want to play something, anything Halo on Mac). May replenish in time.
I wonder if the PC Halo serial would allow you to buy a Mac Universal update?

For anyone who purchased the non-Universal version of Halo for Mac after January 1, 2006, MacSoft will waive the shipping charges if conditions are met.
Otherwise universal version:
Shipping $10, needs Halo serial
Download $5, needs Halo serial
Why don't you write to MacSoft and ask where you can buy Halo?

Yeah, does that go to Macsoft or to their parent? Again, there's not a specifically Macsoft email that I could find on their site.
If you google Macsoft, and go to their URL, it gets forwarded to that site. Think about it.
