Hi. I have a MBP and want to play halo at 1440 x 900. However, the field of view shrinks and everything stretches when I do so. I found this link [http://forum.macologist.org/showthread.php?t=555] which tells me how to change the FOV so the widescreen looks more normal. However, the UI (reticle, text, shields, ammo) are all very stretched and the game still isn't that enjoyable in widescreen.

Does anyone know a way to make halo work perfectly widescreen? (like Hor+ in widescreen terms) This is a perfect hack for WINDOWS halo [http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=98], but is there any solution for Halo UB mac?
Thanks.

it's a bit different with the ub version. to find the map files, you have to right click the halo icon, go to show package contents, then you have to navigate to the maps folder: contents>resources>gamedata>maps. Copy (not move) the maps you want to edit to your desktop or something and then follow the tutorial

I know about the map placement, and I was able to follow the tutorial. Although Master Chief's FOV changes, the UI graphical stuff stays stretched, and I think some objects also stay stretched. I know that Windows Halo can do perfect widescreen with a hack. Is there any way to recreate that on mac?

Just to update I now play with the proper field of view, however the graphical UI is stretched, I will post of macgamingmods later and see if they know any fix.
